Course Overview (English)

The SSCE WAEC/NECO English curriculum from SS1 to SS3 is designed to develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It covers areas such as grammar, comprehension, essay writing, summary writing, oral English, vocabulary development, and literature. In SS1, students are introduced to foundational grammar rules, sentence construction, and reading comprehension. SS2 builds on this with more advanced writing techniques, oral practice, and literary appreciation. SS3 focuses on refining communication skills, exam preparation, and critical analysis of texts. The curriculum aims to enhance students’ language competence for academic and everyday use. This course will help students to pass their WAEC/NECO English exams.
